Quealy Mornington Penninsula Pinot Noir

The only blended Pinot in the range is drawn from all four of Quealy's premium vineyards, from the lower lying Campbell & Christine to the late-ripening Musk Creek Vineyard. Planted to different clones and with varying vine age, what binds these sites is Quealy's viticulture: the Estate manages every vine.
With the fruit selected for ripeness and gentle tannin, this is the Estate's most generous and early drinking Pinot. Each portion of the batch was matured individually in a mixture of new and older barrels for 15 months before assembling and bottling in July 2019. It's a fragrant, fleshy and already fully-open Pinot with plum, bramble and iodine-noted fruit and a lingering, saline close.

Unlike the pretences of its holiday makers, the region packs a punch now that wine making has returned to favour in the area after a period of decline. You can expect to find high quality, cool climate wines that deliver fresh, smooth mouthfeel and a sense of wanting more. We can’t get enough of summer in the peninsula, and the cracka’ selection of winemakers are a perfect pairing.
