Red Saint Chardonnay
This wine displays the finesse and balance for which Yarra Valley Chardonnay is famous. The wine has an intense bouquet of grapefruit, white peach and apple flowers which leads onto a palate that has at it’s core natural acid and a fleshy grip. The palate has intensity, tight focused fruit, seamless drive and depth with excellent length.
The Yarra Valley is Australian cool climate wine. Sophisticated pinot noir and chardonnay take pride of place here accounting for approximately 70% of all wine produced, but the great new world Syrah being produced in this region is exciting and absolutely something to watch.
The distinct upper and lower subregions and plethora of microclimates in the Yarra Valley mean that the region produces a diverse range of styles - a pinot from the warmer climate Lower Yarra Valley will be different from a pinot from the higher altitude, cooler temperature Upper Yarra.
